well i am a Vegetarians ( we eat other stuff besides veggies ). And I understand some people have to eat meat but I do it for the animals i dont think people who do eat meat is bad or evil, most Vegetarians dont eat meat just becaise we love animals and we dont like eatting a living creture ( I know its dead ) and yes people who do need to eat meat like the people in Africa. and some sulter houses treat there animals wrong like veal they take a baby cow from its mother and put it in a small cage tied down for two months then they kill it while the mother is still out there crying for its baby
its just someone choices not to eat meat thats all its like some people dont believe in God someone just choices not to belive thats all

I agree with everything you say. I'm not vegan myself, but I don't eat a lot of meat, anyway. That's why I'm very skinny, but I still have a strong body.

I do eat; just not as much of a variety of meat. Some foods I never want to eat because I dislike their taste. Pork! That's what I forgot to mention. I don't like lamb nor veal.

I'm a vegetarian for the reason that I disagree with the conditions that animals are kept in. I have no problems with eating animals - it's just the way of nature, but the conditions that some animals are kept in are apalling (chickens are the first that come to mind). If it's unnatural and harmnful, then they shouldn't do it. I believe that freedom in the right habitat is not only required for the best possible life for an animal, but is important to acquire the best possible meat. Having said that, even if conditions did change for the better, I wouldn't eat meat, purely because after all this time, the idea of eating a dead thing revolts me.

I'm vegetarian too, mostly vegan actually. I believe people need to reduce their meat consumption. There are too many compelling reasons. So many that I will just cover the basics here: -The environmental impact of meat production. -The factory farm/slaughterhouse cruelty issues. -Peoples' health ( when they consume large amounts of meat).
This going to sound ironic given this board. I think if someone chooses to eat meat, they should go hunting or buy meat from a good family farm. It's more ecologically sound, better for peoples' health and more humane for the animals..
What I ask of people who choose to eat meat is that they become informed. If you choose to eat meat, make it an informed choice instead of "looking away" when the issues come up. Also it would be nice if omnivores would speak up once in a while about how farms typically treat the animals they raise for meat. If nobody would buy the cruelly raised factory farmed meat, it would cease to be profitable and go away to everyones' benefit.Only a couple of greedy people profiting from this messed up system would lose out.

I agree 100% with you, if people would just stop buying meat that has been tortured and a bunch of bad hormones injected into the animal then the whole would be a lot healthier but too many look away from this issue.
