So what are your experiences with real deer? Have you ever seen one in real life, even if if was in captivity? Have you ever petted or fed one before, like in a zoo? What are the different kinds of deer that you've seen (including elk, moose, and caribou)? For me, I've had many deer experiences. For starters, I got to feed a muntjac (a small deer) and a nilgai (a large antelope) at a county fair petting zoo once, and they're both from India. Also, a couple years ago, I was driving home late at night from seeing the movie "The Passion of the Christ," and on the way through the back woods, there were these two deer (I think were bucks, but I'm not sure), and they were about to bound across the road until they saw my car's headlights, and they waited for me to pass them. I was very lucky that night.

That does sound scary! Aw, that's cute. Last May, I went with my college choir on a two-week tour of Europe, and one of the cities we stopped at was Prague, Czech Republic. I got the chance to visit the zoo, and there was this herd of deer in an exhibit that I stopped to look in. I was all alone, and they were all staring at me, as if they were watching my every move. I actually didn't feel all that uncomfortable, really; it actually felt kind of neat to have that experience. I took a couple pictures of the deer staring at me. ;D

I also saw a deer run across the front yard of my house as I was practicing on the piano in my living room.
And once at Bible camp, my camp group was outside looking at the stars, and our counselor held a flashlight bright enough so that we could identify which stars are which for the constellations. At one point, the counselor brought his flashlight down and the light caught a doe walking by. We got to see her stare at us and then walk away.
