Whenever someone you know discovers that you like (or worship ) Bambi, what is their general reaction? For me, nobody in real life knows it. I have online friends like at thebambiforum.tk who know, but they're cool with it (since they like Bambi, too ).

Oh, so other people in your family know, huh? That's cool. I've kinda kept my fascination with Bambi a secret for many years, because if I said out loud that I like Bambi, people would really think I was weird and I would feel absolutely embarassed and could blush heavily, like this:

You know, a friend of mine once said: "There is no age for dreaming." I agree with what he said. Don't you think so?

ohh i see i dont mind at all no matter how old you are besides who doesnt like bambi lol Well, there are people out there who don't like it, and that's normal. Nobody said that everyone has to like it. Now that I think about it, there are a few people I know who are even older than I am who like "Bambi" as much as I do. I know a man who really likes it, and he's 39!

Once I went to the library to get Bambi 2 because I hadn't seen it for a while, and the woman went back to get it and she had this weird face on. She was probably thinking why is a teen watching some little kids movie.

I do hope that you don't mind me digging up such an old thread, but I don't see any harm in contributing.
I believe that it is impossible to be too old to enjoy such films. I prefer to refer to them as family films instead of kids' films. There is a huge difference (although I suppose that it is still possible to enjoy kids' films - this is all coming from someone who still watches Matthew Corbett's Sooty episodes!). I suppose really, a lot of what makes me watch such films is nostalgia. I may not be that old, but being a little kid seems so long ago (even though it wasn't any more than just over a decade ago), but I have this strong yearning to go back to being about six. Goodness, if only time travel was possible. The main reason I think this, is because if I new film like this came along, I wouldn't be interested, but because I remember it, I love it. Same with things like Sooty.
Although I doubt nostalgia is all of it. If it was, I'd soon get bored, and it'd feel like I was forcing myself to watch it. I thoroughly enjoy it, so there must be something else.
I prefer to keep these interests to myself. It's only you people on the internet that I can be open to. Probably because we don't really know each other. I think if we were to meet in person, things would be quite awkward!
So to answer the question in the title, I don't really get any reactions, because no-one knows! And when people are about, I have to plug in the headphones, no matter how uncomfortable it is laying down with a plastic disc crushing your head! Although I'm sure that if I was to say anything, I'd get some pretty odd looks.

I have to be careful whenever I watch it - I watch my old tape of it, so I have to put headphones in my television so that nobody else hears. I have to have another system set up and my finger on the channel for the other system constantly, so that takes from the enjoyment slightly.
